Type of School

Crespi Carmelite High School, established in Encino, CA, in 1959, is an all-male, Catholic, college preparatory high school conducted by the Carmelite Order. Current enrollment is 460 students with an average class size of 18, and a student-to-teacher ratio of 12:1. For the Class of 2026, 100% of the graduates matriculated to higher education, 85% to four-year colleges. Crespi offers a curriculum satisfying all requirements for college entrance plus a wide range of programs, including athletics, art, and drama.

School Community

Admission is by entrance exam, recommendations, elementary school grades, and an interview. Crespi receives on average 300+ applicants annually. Typically, 75 elementary schools, public and private, are represented in a freshman class. Approximately 48% of those who apply are enrolled. The community is distinguished and enriched by its social, economic, and ethnic diversity.

Crespi's graduation requirements exceed the minimum entrance requirements for the UC and Cal State Universities. The basic program required of all students includes:

Students are also required to complete 100 hours of community service. This is accomplished through a thematic immersion program called IMPACT, which takes place freshman through junior year and culminates with the Kairos Retreat senior year.
