St. John Eudes’ “Regatta Cheese” Claims Victory at the 5th Annual Crespi Regatta—Four Years Running

After an exciting day of racing that featured 10 preliminary heats, the competition narrowed as the top three teams from each heat advanced to the semi-finals. The energy only grew as the remaining teams battled it out across three semi-final heats, with the fastest three boats from each heat earning a coveted spot in the championship round.

The final heat brought together nine outstanding teams, each showcasing unique design strategies and impressive performance. But in the end, one team once again rose to the top.

A Four-Year Dynasty: “Regatta Cheese” Dominates Again

Representing St. John Eudes School, the team known as “Regatta Cheese” claimed first place—marking their fourth consecutive Regatta championship. Their consistent excellence, innovative engineering, and steady teamwork have made them a standout presence in the Crespi Regatta year after year.

Their winning design navigated the course with both speed and stability, earning enthusiastic cheers from the crowd and solidifying their legacy as one of the most successful teams in Regatta history.

A Celebration of STEM, Creativity, and Community

The Crespi Regatta continues to grow each year, offering middle-school students a dynamic hands-on experience that blends engineering design with friendly competition. From the morning check-in to the final awards ceremony, the event showcased the imagination and skill of young scholars from across the San Fernando Valley.
