Stephan Pilillian has been playing and coaching water polo for eighteen years.  He grew up in the San Fernando Valley and played water polo for Rose Bowl Water Polo Club and Alemany High School.  After High School, Coach Pilillian continued his water polo career at LA Valley College before moving on to finish his bachelor’s degree at UCLA. Stephan has a deep love for the game of water polo and its ability to teach lifelong lessons to athletes that play it.

Coach Pilillian comes to Crespi Carmelite High School from Los Angeles Water Polo Club and Westlake High School.  Over the years, Stephan has been an instrumental part of coaching staffs that have lead teams to CIF quarterfinals, and has lead multiple age groups to Junior Olympics.  Coach Pilillian structures his coaching philosophy around the quote “the only easy day was yesterday.”
