    2018 - 2019

    Crespi’s basketball program is rich in tradition and pride. Crespi basketball has also won three C.I.F. titles (2001, 2010, 2015) as well as two California state titles (2015 and 2016) and is under the direction of Russell White. The Celts will enter their 56th season in 2017-2018. Coach White, a 1994 graduate of California Lutheran University, begins his twelfth season at the helm.
     
    During Coach White's eleven years, the Celts have gone to the playoffs ten times including seven C.I.F. semi-final appearances, six state championship appearances, two C.I.F. Southern section titles in 2010 and 2015, and two state championships in 2015 and 2016.  The Celts have accumulated more than 22 wins per year since 2006-07 season.
     
    During the 2017-18 school year, two former Celts will be playing professional basketball.  Jerramy King `08 plays in the Philippines and London Perrantes `13 is currently trying out for the NBA after a very successful career at the University of Virginia.  Four other former Celts will be playing basketball for their college or university. Carter Gallo '13 will be a senior and play for the Dickinson State University Bluehawks in Dickinson, North Dakota. DJ Ursery '14 will be senior at the University of Alaska-Anchorage. De'Anthony Melton `16 will begin his 2nd season at the University of Southern California after helping the Trojans to a couple of wins in the NCAA Tournament as a freshman.  The Trojans are a preseason top 15 team in the country.  Robert Hunter III `17 will be a freshman at California Lutheran University.
     
    The Celts play their home games on campus in the Alumni Memorial Gymnasium on Paul Muff Court which was recently redesigned in 2014. The season will begin with a tournament during Thanksgiving week at Mission League rival Chaminade. An away game at Highland High School in Palmdale will be followed by a tournament at Cerritos High School the week of December 4.  After semester finals, the freshmen, JV, and varsity teams will travel to Arizona to play Mesa High School.  From Dec. 27-30, Crespi will participate in the prestigious Les Schwaub Invitational in Hillsboro, Oregon. The Celts will then compete in the formidable Mission League in January and February starting with a home game vs. Loyola on January 3.
