Crespi Student Artists Shine at the Los Angeles Cathedral

By: Susana Capra
The 2018 Robert Graham Memorial Student Art Exhibit at the Cathedral of Our Lady of the Angels opened on January 21. This year Crespi students created four 2D artworks and one sculpture that were featured in the show. The exhibit opened with a mass honoring all students with pieces in the show. Our five students, Cam McNeal, Aidan Rodriguez, Cory Holmes, Wil LoCurto and Christopher Landers, received their certificates for being participants in the show.  Students conceptualized and came up with ideas that allow for a more spiritual reflection. They were honored to be chosen to show their artworks in the exhibit, using charcoal, watercolor, colored pencil, ballpoint pen and media art to express their interpretation of spirituality. The students were able to explain the creative process to the audience during the opening.
The exhibit is open until April 8 for all those who would like to see the art created by our Celts and so many other talented high school students.
