Crespi Breaks Ground on Robinson Family Aquatics Center

By: Dr. Foersch
For several months, we’ve been telling you about our efforts to build a world-class Aquatics Center on campus. Our “Pool Together” capital campaign will fund construction of a 50-meter x 25-yard Myrtha main pool, a 60-foot x 30-foot wellness pool, locker rooms, bleachers and shaded areas all located on “the shelf”, the vacant area adjacent to the football field. I couldn’t be more excited to tell you that we are one step (or stroke!) closer to our goal.
We are thrilled to begin construction on the Robinson Family Aquatics Center. We are eternally grateful for Scott and Jane Robinson and family for their most generous lead gift and commitment to Crespi. We held a small ceremonial groundbreaking, Sunday, January 27 before our 60th Anniversary Jubilee Mass!

We are breaking ground now for two reasons:

  • Breaking ground will minimize the impact construction has on students, faculty and staff, and ensure our athletic teams return to their home field as soon as possible.
  • The Carmelites are figuratively and literally blessing the project. We met the Carmelites’ threshold for breaking ground by raising 75% of our goal, and they were in full force to bless the construction site prior to our Jubilee Mass!

Even though we have much to celebrate, there is still work to do. The generosity of just over 100 parents, alumni and friends have taken us this far, and we are exceptionally grateful for their support. These “Pool Together” donors celebrate their Celt pride by investing in our school’s bright future.

If you’re interested in learning about how you can make an impact in this campaign, please contact my assistant, Mr. Brendan Forray (818-654-1306, bforray@crespi.org) or our Advancement Director, Mrs. Gregoria Leoni (gleoni@crespi.org).

We’d love to meet with you to tell you how “Pool Together” will help current and future Celts excel!

What a great day to be a Celt!
