Saturday, May 20 in Fresno proved to be quite the spectacle for the Celt swimmers as they continued their dominant streak through the evening.
First up was sophomore Zac Van Zandt in the 200 Freestyle. He ended up a few tenths slower than his previous mark and was able to hold on in a great race tying for 4th place. Senior Hayden Liu placed 6th in the 200 IM just off his previous mark. Van Zandt secured a 3rd place in the 100 Freestyle in a tight race, lowering his school record mark down to :44.84. The Celts 200 Free Relay battled it out for a 3rd place finish, in a narrow margin with Senior Sergey Ternov anchoring in a blistering :20.23. Zac Van Zandt led off the relay in a new school record time of :20.86 providing a lead for the Hayden and Jack Chen to maintain for Sergey as they finished with a new school relay record of 1:22.62. Finally, Hayden finished with the 100 Backstroke in a time o :49.20- also a new school record.
