Crespi’s basketball program, which is rich in tradition and pride, is under the direction of Russell White. The Celts will enter their 49th season in 2010-2011. Coach White, a 1994 graduate of California Lutheran University, begins his fifth season at the helm. During Coach White's four years, the Celts have gone to the playoffs four times and have a record of 39-17 in the always tough Mission League. Last year, the Celts won the CIF IVA Championship by defeating Alemany 50-43 at Mater Dei.  It was the second basketball championship and 11th overall for Crespi.  The Celts play their home games on campus in the Alumni Memorial Gymnasium on Paul Muff Court. Crespi is a member of the formidable and strong Mission League.

For the 2010-2011 season, the Celts will host their annual Alumni game/Silent Auction on Wednesday, November 24th.  On November 26th, the team will travel to Mater Dei to scrimmage the Monarchs and NoCal powerhouse De La Salle.  The regular season will begin with a game at Orange Lutheran on December 1.  The Celts will co-host the annual San Fernando Valley Tournament for the sixth consecutive year from Dec. 17-22.  Between Christmas and New Year's, Crespi travels to Marin Catholic in the Bay Area to participate in a tournament.  The Mission League opens up on January 5 at Loyola.  During the summer of 2010, Crespi will be hosting youth basketball camps, summer leagues, and summer tournaments.
