Crespi Carmelite High School recognizes the importance of providing students opportunities to focus on Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) courses. In an effort to meet National and Industry growth trends in these career fields, Crespi has established a STEM Cohort for incoming students. Please click here to download Mr. Uy's STEM presentation.
Environmental Studies & Outdoor Leadership
ESOL is a multi-disciplinary program focusing on environmental studies and practical experience in outdoor leadership. Students participate in four seminars focusing on environmentally themed topics in Science, Philosophy & Politics, and Theology. Students will also participate in various experiential learning opportunities (“expeditions”) during the year. These will range from overnight backpacking trips to environmental service projects with Wilderness Agencies. Visit our ESOL website at: www.crespi-esol.org
Literary Magazine (HOWL)
The HOWL is a student produced magazine. It is a compilation of short stories, poetry, and student art work. Students utilize publishing software to create this yearly magazine.
The Celt Newspaper
Students enrolled in Crespi’s Journalism class will learn how to develop a comprehensive newspaper that includes student-produced articles and state of the art layout software. Current editions of The Celt can be found on our Publications Page
Crespi’s Media Department broadcasts live morning announcements and various other media productions. Celt TV is a morning news program produced by students in Crespi’s Broadcast Journalism class. Episodes of Celt TV can be found on our Celt TV YouTube Channel
Students interested in programming and engineering have an opportunity to compete in regional competitions where they build robots to perform pre-determined tasks.
This is a team competition where “Aca-Decathletes” match their intellects against other regional high schools on 10 different categories ranging from Art & Music to Economics & Science.
Junior Statesmen of America/Debate
Members of Crespi’s Debate Team participate in conferences that incorporate debates, thought talks, guest speakers and simulations. More information about JSA can be found at: http://jsa.org/about/
